A list of new fishing topics have been covered on popular saltwater fishing website “Ask Saltwater Fishing”.
Ventura, CA (PRWEB) September 4, 2008 — Just over one year old, popular saltwater fishing website: http://www.asksaltwaterfishing.com has seen a traffic explosion of 800% since 2007.
Owner and operator Dan Eggertsen believes it’s the new topics his site covers that is directly respnsible for the increase. “I attribute the growth to the introcuction of more saltwater fishing topics that we’ve decided to cover including inshore fishing techniques, species specific tips, and deep sea fishing tactics.”
“All of these things add up to an increase in traffics as the search engines will direct interested fishermen to the site because of the unique topics we cover,” says Eggertsen. “Another big factor in the increased popularity of the site is the fact that fishermen are commenting on the answers our staff provides. This adds more valuable fishing content to the site that the search engines also love. It’s kind of a snowball situation. The more fishing articles we write, the more fishermen find us, and the more content they put up in the form of comments.”
The site has been active since February of 2007 and caters to a broad fishing audience. But Dan sees the site going in a new direction.
“We’ve had a lot of interest in very specific fishing niche articles, instead of general topics. The plan is to create more narrow silos of information, each one built around a specic species of saltwater fish. For example, we’ll go deep on tuna, yellowtail, halibut, grouper, sea bass, shark, and all the rest. This will give each saltwater fishermen that finds our site enough content for them to chew on for awhile without losing interest. We’ve got to target each fisherman for the site to continue to grow at this rate.”
